When it comes to simplifying problems in your organization, what is the most valuable and efficient way to do it? Well, if you are incharge, the owner, all you have to do is say what youexpect. Your decision is law and everyone has to do what you want. But are you sure that the decision you made is the best possible answer to your situation? Is the answerconclusion that you came up with what will solve the situation or just delay the unavoidable? Is only receiving the view or input from a single employee the very best way to go about solving a predicament or is it better to get a view and ideas from multiple individuals? Of course, a problem can better be resolved and recognized with many people working on it. When various viewpoints and varying perspectives are viewed through, the easier it is to discover new ideas. The combined comprehension and worldview and experience of lots of different employees is much wider and much more varied than if it is limited to just a single individual. That individual may have a lot of practice and be very educated, but when you have access to many thoughts and multiple ideas, you are almost always more likely to get a better result.

You do not want a group that is strictly comprised of upper management or only employees on the floor. If you do this, then you will not get the thoughts and the varied perspectives that you need. The more viewpoints that you entertain, the more opportunities you will get an suggestion or perception that you weren’t expecting and that might be innovative to everybody on the team. The ideas that come from a group can often be a mixture of ideas that come from the entire group. Often, the final product is a combination of all of the brainstorming that has come before it, but fleshes out the thoughts more completely.
